Back Alley (Windows and Door)

      After making some assets I decided to pay some attention to the walls, the the more narrow wall I decide to make a couple of windows just so in the lighting stage there will be some light on this side, however instead of modelling it I decided to extrude it inwards and making the windows as textures.

    However, after making that decision I figured that if i just leave the windows like that it will look very obvious that is just a texture and it will look flat, so I decided to make some metal window bars for the window to act as an "distraction."

    Furthermore this will also fit the theme of my back alley, dodgy brooklyn, this act as a layer of protection for whoever is living in there to prevent robbers.

  
     
    Before I decided what I want on the other wall I had the idea of a flickering light but I didn't want to do a street light as I feel like that really wouldn't fit my scene well so I came up with this idea of a wall light on top of a door.
    After that idea came to head I tried having the position of the door on the ground but I feel like that look very "odd" or it looked like the door was forced put there, when I levitated the door it feels more natural, furthermore by levitating the door i had to add stairs which creates some more interest to the scene overall.
